In January 2023, Abby Lee Miller announced on Instagram that she had sold her famous dance studio, which she had purchased for $300,000, as reported by the New York Post. Miller stated that she was pursuing other endeavors and that it was time for her to move on. She expressed that she was proud of her decision, noting that it was going to “somebody that needed it… somebody that wanted it, not another dance teacher.”
Before the sale, Miller had come close to losing the studio due to financial difficulties. An insider told People that sheriffs had posted notices of unpaid taxes at the studio. Miller’s attorney, Robert J. Ridge, confirmed this, saying that the studio was scheduled for sale due to unpaid taxes.
