Adam Lambert’s New Cover of “The Muffin Man”

Adam Lambert's New Cover of "The Muffin Man"

Adam Lambert was born to be a contestant on Jimmy Fallon’s “That’s My Jam.” During an April 17 appearance on the music game show, the “American Idol” alum flawlessly channelled Cher while singing “The Muffin Man” to the tune of the pop icon’s 1998 track “Believe.” When the Wheel of Musical Impressions generator announced Lambert’s task, Fallon asked him, “Do you have a Cher in you?” The singer confidently responded, “I got it. I got it.” Lambert had the whole crowd on his feet and clapping along as he crooned the nursery rhyme with a low voice that sounded precisely like Cher’s.

During the same episode, Simu Liu showed off his singing chops by performing 50 Cent’s “In The Club” with a country twist, and sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey covered a medley of breakup songs by Destiny’s Child, Taylor Swift, Nelly, and more. Tons of stars have made memorable appearances on “That’s My Jam” since Fallon launched the series in 2021, including Keke Palmer, Chance the Rapper, and Normani.

During the same episode, Simu Liu showed off his singing chops by performing 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” with a country twist, and sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey covered a medley of breakup songs by Destiny’s Child, Taylor Swift, Nelly, and more. Tons of stars have made memorable appearances on “That’s My Jam” since Fallon launched the series in 2021, including Keke Palmer, Chance the Rapper, and Normani.

Lambert is no stranger to honoring other singers with his music. His new album “High Drama” solely includes covers of hits like Sia’s “Chandelier,” Kings of Leon’s “Sex on Fire,” and Billie Eilish‘s “Getting Older.” Is it too late to request that his Cher-tastic “The Muffin Man” rendition be added to all music streaming platforms as soon as humanly possible?
