Antonio Brown has announced his retirement from the NFL and is now taking on the role of team owner. He recently purchased the National Arena League’s Albany Empire, a team his father, Eddie Brown, used to play for (then known as the Firebirds). Brown expressed his excitement in a tweet, saying that he was looking forward to giving back to the community and being part of something bigger than himself. He also shared a throwback photo of himself with the team’s former mascot, noting that Albany, NY was a special place for him and his family. Eddie Brown will be joining Antonio’s new team as vice president of football operations. However, Brown’s leadership was off to a rocky start when he showed up late and had his face obscured by a trophy during the March 2 ownership press conference.
