Anna Kane, the former spouse of NHL player Evander Kane, has publicly addressed serious allegations against music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs in her sexual assault lawsuit. Despite facing attempts to intimidate her, she courageously shared the traumatic details of her ordeal.
“I initially wanted to file my case anonymously,” Kane stated in a message to PEOPLE, following a judge’s decision requiring her to reveal her identity. “The demand from the defendants for me to disclose my name was meant to scare me, but I refuse to be intimidated. I’m determined to seek justice and hold my abusers accountable.”
Kane’s lawsuit alleges that Combs, along with former Bad Boy executive Harve Pierre and an anonymous associate, drugged and sexually assaulted her when she was only 17 years old. The updated lawsuit, submitted in a Manhattan federal court, asserts that she was misled from Michigan to New York, where she faced a terrifying night at Diddy’s recording studio.
Kane’s pursuit of justice is just beginning
This case is among several that are shaking the entertainment sector. Recently, Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil required another accuser, Candice McCrary, to reveal her identity in her own lawsuit against Combs, while additional lawsuits are still pending.
Diddy, who strongly denies all allegations, is currently facing federal charges for sex trafficking and racketeering, with his next court date set for December 18, 2024.
Kane’s fight in court comes as she attempts to rebuild her life after past struggles, including allegations against her ex-husband Evander Kane in 2021. Despite her resilience, a judge recently dismissed parts of her lawsuit related to corporate liability, focusing the case on the sexual assault claim.

With a pretrial meeting scheduled for January 2025, Kane’s determination showcases her strength. Her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, highlighted the seriousness of her allegations, stating, “The severity of these horrific actions has undoubtedly left our client deeply traumatized.”
