Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have put aside their past differences to celebrate Christmas together as a family, as revealed by a reliable source. The ex-spouses are dedicated to co-parenting their three children during the holiday season, making their kids’ happiness a priority.
“Jen and Ben came together for Christmas. It’s all for their kids,” the source disclosed to PEOPLE. “Having grown up in a family-centric environment during the holidays, Jen wants the same experience for her children.”
Garner and Affleck, who divorced in 2015 after nearly ten years of marriage, continue to prioritize their children’s happiness.
This holiday gathering complements their recent public outings together. Earlier in December, they were seen enjoying breakfast and bagels, igniting discussions about their effective co-parenting approach.
Additionally, last month they volunteered at The Midnight Mission’s Thanksgiving Street Fair in Los Angeles, contributing to feeding the homeless.
“They genuinely love giving back and spending quality time together as a family,” another insider informed PEOPLE.
Despite speculation regarding their renewed closeness, sources clarify that their focus remains on their children.
“The kids love when they all hang out together,” the source noted. “Jen is happy that Ben is doing well. They maintain a friendship, but that’s where it ends.”
Looking Ahead
While Garner and Affleck nurture a friendly and cooperative relationship, their romantic lives have diverged. Garner has been in a stable relationship with businessman John Miller since 2018. Although they briefly separated in 2019, they reignited their romance in 2021 and have been in a good place since.
“Jen is very content with John and sees him nearly every day,” the source mentioned. Miller, the CEO of Cali Group and a father of two, has smoothly blended into Garner’s life, as she continues to keep her co-parenting efforts with Affleck front and center.
Conversely, Affleck’s recent months have been challenging following his divorce filing from Jennifer Lopez in August. After reuniting in 2021 following their initial romance in the early 2000s, they captured media attention but have ultimately decided to go their separate ways.
