Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are in a rush to sell their Beverly Hills property following speculations about their relationship. The couple bought the house for $60 million less than two years ago and have listed it for $68 million but have not found a buyer yet.
Recent developments reveal that Affleck and Lopez have been spending time apart, with Affleck staying in a rental in Brentwood and Lopez frequenting New York, sparking rumors of a potential reconciliation despite the physical distance.
An inside source disclosed to US Weekly that the couple wants to quickly offload the 12-bedroom, 24-bath mansion as they never felt settled there and they believe putting it on the market will attract more buyers.
The insider shared, “They are in a rush to sell it. Ben especially wants to be done with the house. He was never happy there.”
Reason for Sale
The massive 38,000-square-foot size of the mansion was reportedly overwhelming for the pair as they seldom had all their children gathered in the vast residence.
“They rarely have all the kids there at once, so it felt huge for the two of them,” added the source. “Nothing has been decided yet regarding the divorce, but selling the house marks the initial move.”
Affleck shares three children-Violet, Fin, and Samuel-with his former spouse Jennifer Garner, while Lopez has twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
A previous insider revealed to People magazine that Affleck found the property “too far away from his kids” and Lopez deemed it “too spacious.”
Moreover, there are hints that their children aspire to reconcile the couple’s relationship.
