Actress Blake Lively defended her close friend Taylor Swift against a fan’s suggestion to exclude Love Story from the Eras Tour setlist during a radio show.
The 36-year-old actress, known for her role in Gossip Girl, supported Swift’s setlist choices during an appearance on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast’s Unpopular Opinion game.
A fan called in suggesting Love Story should be dropped for Fearless to have a prominent role, prompting Lively, married to actor Ryan Reynolds, to humorously question the caller’s stance on happiness and joy.
“That’s rough,” remarked Lively on the show. “You just hate happiness or joy? Or just your ears? You don’t like your ears?”
Lively, a dedicated fan and close friend of Taylor Swift, attended two Eras Tour shows alongside celebrities like Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany.
Having taken her daughters to the Philadelphia event, Lively, along with Reynolds, their daughters, and four-year-old Betty, later attended the show in Madrid.
Expressing her desire for longer performances from Swift, Lively humorously wished for the concert to last 47 hours to accommodate all the songs in the setlist.
“Honestly, 47 hours long so that all the songs could be played at all times,” joked Lively. “So my popular opinion is that [I want] all. Like, yes. Every song. What’s the setlist? Yes.”
