Tome DeLonge is a renowned musician in the US, showcasing his skills not only as a vocalist but also with the guitar. A big fan of baseball, he is a loyal supporter of the San Diego Padres, often seen at their games.
This occasion was particularly significant as he was asked to toss the ceremonial first pitch at the playoff opener against the Atlanta Braves in the National League Wild Card Series.
In front of over 47,000 fans, DeLonge received a warm welcome on the jumbotron. He delivered an impressive pitch to home plate, much to the delight of the crowd.
A night of celebration
The game featured an interlude during which the public address announcer played a track from Blink-182, sparking excitement among the spectators. The crowd joyfully joined in to sing ‘All The Small Things.’
Blink-182 recently graced the stage at Petco Park, marking their return after five years. On June 30th, they electrified an audience of approximately 40,000 fans.
The trio, Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker, performed a setlist of over 25 songs, thrilling the dedicated San Diego fans who also showed their support for the Padres that night.
