Despite Cooper’s charming gesture, some skeptics took to X (formerly Twitter) to mock his actions. Comments ranged from praising his apparent down-to-earth nature to joking about celebrities getting too close to fans. One user remarked, “Closed that door real quick. Celebs getting too close to the masses,” while another acknowledged Cooper as a “great ambassador for the team and city.”
According to Shorr-Park, Cooper’s cheesesteaks were well-received. He described them in a video as “pretty fire,” admitting, “I kind of wanted to hate it, but it is really good.” It’s hard to criticize Cooper, especially when he sports an endearing man bun.

Nonetheless, it is possible that Cooper was genuinely trying to spread the love of Philadelphia as the Eagles prepare to face the Chiefs on February 9. Many celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Paul Rudd, and Kanye West, are flocking to New Orleans for the event, anticipating both the Kendrick Lamar concert and the game itself.
Fans have voiced concerns that Hollywood has overshadowed the Super Bowl, particularly following Taylor Swift’s impact on the NFL. Nevertheless, with Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s ongoing romance, it seems the attention will remain focused on them as much as the game.
