Brooke Mueller, who is known for her acting career and former marriage to Charlie Sheen, has alleged that a previous drug dealer is attempting to blackmail her.
The 47-year-old has stated that this individual is threatening to make public videos of her buying drugs and engaging in other sensitive behavior unless she agrees to pay a large sum.
Reports from TMZ indicate that Mueller has refused to pay the blackmailer, despite having made attempts to satisfy him with gifts and substantial cash in the past.
Mueller, who is the mother of twin boys, Bob and Max, aged 15, with Sheen, opted to involve law enforcement after enduring months of intimidation.
The investigation is still active, and as of now, no arrests have been made concerning the situation.
Legal Challenges During Mueller’s Path to Sobriety
This incident arises as Mueller recently marked nine months of sobriety, signifying a significant effort on her part to improve her life after enduring many challenges.
Her life has remained in the public eye due to her marriage to Sheen, which lasted from 2008 until 2011.
Beyond the blackmail claims, Mueller is also embroiled in a significant inquiry related to the death of actor Matthew Perry.
Recently, five individuals were arrested tied to Perry‘s drug overdose, and Mueller‘s name appeared during the investigation.
She had previously attended rehab alongside two people linked to this case, one of whom is Jasveen Sangha, who is accused of supplying the drugs that resulted in Perry‘s death.
Mueller has been cooperative with law enforcement, assisting in the indictment of Erik Fleming, a significant suspect in the inquiry.
Despite her involvement in the investigation, Mueller has not faced any charges or arrests related to Perry‘s passing.
Authorities reportedly executed a search warrant for her phone and computer back in March, but she has yet to testify in front of a grand jury.
