BUZZ: Bijou Phillips’ sister Chynna slammed for asking for prayers after Danny Masterson rape sentencing

BUZZ: Bijou Phillips’ sister Chynna slammed for asking for prayers after Danny Masterson rape sentencing

took to Instagram to share a not-so-subtle message Monday, four days after the “That ’70s Show” star was ordered to serve 30 years to life in prison for two rapes he committed in 2003.

“If you don’t feel like Praying, force it. Because something is also forcing you not to pray,” read a quote that the Wilson Phillips member posted alongside the caption, “#yep.”

Although Phillips, 55, did not name Masterson, 47, many of her followers interpreted the message to be her response to the news.

“Yes please force yourself to pray for Danny mastersons victims instead of writing letters on his behalf,” one person commented, referencing the “Hold On” singer and her husband, actor Billy Baldwin, pleading with the judge for leniency.

“I will NOT be forced to do anything I do not want to do. No one should be forced to do anything they don’t want to. Something your brother-in-law OBVIOUSLY never learned,” another person wrote.

“You need to request prayers for the victims, don’t you think,” a third fan asked.

“Pray for rape victims,” another added.

Chynna has not directly addressed Masterson’s case.

Her sister Bijou Phillips, who wed the now-disgraced actor in 2011, remained stoic with her sunglasses on last Thursday when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo handed down her ruling.

A source close to Bijou later said the “Raising Hope” star, 43, was fearful that someone would harm the father of her 9-year-old daughter, Fianna, behind bars.

“It is a nightmare, but she will be on his side moving forward and continue to be present for their daughter,” the source told the Daily Mail, noting that Bijou has “never felt” so “stressed before.”

The insider also claimed that although the “Almost Famous” actress has been having “scary and morbid” thoughts about Masterson’s prison sentence, she “doesn’t believe Danny will harm himself in jail.”

Nonetheless, Bijou, whose late parents were John Phillips of The Mamas & The Papas and actress Geneviève Waïte, is believed to be keeping a positive outlook ahead of the appeal that her husband’s attorneys plan to file.

“She is hanging on to the fact that she completely trusts he never did what he was charged for; she can’t accept that to be true,” the insider went on.

“She is looking to the appeal process for justice to be served.”

Along with Masterson’s family members, several of his former “That ’70s Show” co-stars, including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, wrote character letters to the judge in the hope of reducing his sentence.

Kutcher, 45, called his pal a “role model,” while Kunis, 40, described him as an “amazing friend.”

Their remarks were met with widespread criticism given Masterson had already been found guilty in May before the letters were penned, prompting the couple to clarify on social media that they “support victims.”
