BUZZ: Billie Eilish opens up on ‘rough time’ facing body-shaming comments: ‘Still hurts my feelings’

Reaching global stardom at a young age is no piece of cake… just ask Billie Eilish.

The “Happier Than Ever” singer, 21, admitted that despite being forced to face a never-ending barrage of negative comments online, those about her appearance “still hurt” her feelings.

“Dude, I don’t even know. It’s tough, man,” the 7-time Grammy winner told Vogue.

“Honestly, nobody can say anything about my body that I don’t have a stronger opinion about… I also think that if I was younger, like if the internet talked about me the way they do now when I was like 11, I don’t think I would be able to exist, to be honest.”

To combat the negativity, Eilish has found ways to channel her energy elsewhere, such as taking baths and taking her dogs for a walk.

“I like myself more than I used to, and I’m more interested in how I feel than how they feel. But then also that might be a load of bulls–t because it still hurts my feelings like a son of a b–h.”

And while the “Bad Guy” hitmaker goes that hate from online trolls will likely be a constant presence in her life, Eilish admits that she still finds it “tough” at times.

“But it’s really hard, you know? I’ve had a rough time, TBH, and I’m still figuring it out. But it’s definitely a weird life; I’ll say that,” she shared.

To combat the negativity, Eilish has found ways to channel her energy elsewhere, such as taking baths, spending time with pals, and taking her dogs for a walk.

One thing she isn’t doing, though, is going on social media.

In March, she revealed that she’s taken the plunge and deleted all social media apps from her phone — despite boasting over 110M followers on Instagram.

“I don’t look at it anymore,” the 21-year-old singer said on an upcoming episode of the “Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend” podcast.

“I deleted it all off my phone, which is such a huge deal for me. Cause dude, you didn’t have the internet to grow up with.”

“For me, it was such a big part of – not my childhood, I wasn’t an iPad baby, thank god – but honestly, I feel like I grew up in the perfect time of the internet that it wasn’t so internet-y, I had such a childhood, and I was doing stuff all the time,” she explained.

The move came after becoming frustrated with bodyshamers on social media.

The “No Time To Die” hitmaker, who previously shut down criticism of her body online, said another reason for deleting her social media apps was because she didn’t like looking at pictures of herself.

“I’m a person who goes on the internet… And to change nothing about the person I am or the life that I live, and to just keep doing what I do over the years, and slowly the videos that I’m watching and the things that I see on the internet are about me. ‘Eww, stinky.’ I don’t like that,” she admitted.
