BUZZ: Jill Zarin reveals why ‘RHONY: Legacy’ show didn’t happen

Jill Zarin is remarkably zen on the “Real Housewives of New York: Legacy” show falling apart.

“’Legacy’ didn’t happen because it just wasn’t meant to happen, that’s the truth,” the reality star exclusively told Page Six at the premiere of “Book Club: The Next Chapter” earlier this week.

“It has nothing to do with me. It has to do with the producers and what they decided to do. I don’t really know.”

Earlier this year, Page Six exclusively reported that talks to film a version of the show that featured some of the original cast including Zarin, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan had collapsed.

Bravo rescinded the offers they had put out and nixed any plans to put the show – which it rebranded as the “Legacy” edition – on the air.

Sources told Page Six at the time that Bravo was negotiating with a group of the “original” cast members but that the talent felt “they were getting lowball offers from Bravo and that the network wasn’t willing to guarantee that they would appear in enough episodes per season.”

Meanwhile, the network will be unveiling a completely rebooted version of the series.

After a nearly two-year hiatus, Season 14 will premiere on Sunday, July 16, featuring a brand-new, ethnically diverse set of women including Ubah Hassan, Sai De Silva and former J. Crew honcho Jenna Lyons.

In light of all of this, Zarin, 59, swears she doesn’t miss being in front of the camera – despite Andy Cohen labeling her “thirsty.”

“I don’t miss it,” she said. “I’m a big fan. I love watching it but that was a chapter of my life that’s closed and I’ve opened up a few new ones.”

That includes a move to Florida and concentrating on her business which includes a line of “crystal manifestation candles” in collaboration with her daughter, Ally.

Zarin, who was a Housewife for the first four seasons, has no desire to join former colleagues de Morgan and Dorinda Medley on tour.

“It doesn’t make sense for me,” she explained. “It’s not the way I earn my living. I earn my living with my brand.”
