BUZZ: Mar-A-Lago cleared by security as indictment news broke, Trump ‘rattled,’ ‘angry’

Security cleared diners from Mar-A-Lago when Donald Trump’s indictment was announced on Thursday night, insiders tell Page Six.

It’s unclear exactly why — Trump was at his other private golf club in New Jersey at the time.

Meanwhile, sources told us the former president is shaken up by the “very serious” news but determined to beat them.

Said a witness at Trump’s private club and residence in Palm Beach, Fla.: “At dinner, they were clearing everyone out. Everyone was asked to leave by security.”

The source added that there was no explanation given.

Trump said on Thursday night that he’d been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to mishandling classified White House documents, which had been recovered from his Mar-A-Lago private estate in August.

Trump has vehemently denied any wrongdoing in the case.

He took to his own social media platform, Truth Social, to refute the charges, posting, “The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax.”

Insiders tell Page Six of Trump, “He’s telling people it’s a political witch hunt and that he’ll fight it all the way to the Supreme Court.”

But they add that privately he has seemed shaken by the news.

A source told us that there is buzz in Trumpworld that, “Trump is rattled by the indictment… his lawyers are telling him it’s very serious.”

The source added, “Those around him say he seems a little deflated when not in public — but [that he is] also determined to fight and win.”

Added the source: “He will scream — and he has been yelling — to the end this is all political, and he’s acting angry.”

The source also told Page Six, “Trump is under pressure, but those around him say this is when he does best, and that they think he will rise to the occasion. Trump likes to fight so insiders say everyone should brace themselves for what he’ll do next.”

The source added that Trump is glad the charges have been filed in his home state of Florida, and not in Washington, D.C.

Said the insider, “He’s personally convinced that the Democrats are using the legal system to destroy him, and his quest to regain the presidency.” But, “He’s convinced he’ll win, and that the trial will be pushed back past the election, and that he’ll be president by then.”

The source said Trump has a “war room” strategizing his next moves, and that he’s already planning new rallies and interviews.

“He’s going to play the victim and the underdog card.”

It’s the second time Trump has been indicted since leaving office.
