Sarah Snook’s little one has arrived!
The “Succession” star quietly gave birth to her and husband Dave Lawson’s first baby together.
The Aussie actress revealed the happy news via Instagram on Monday, sharing a pic of herself holding the newborn after watching the show’s season finale.
“It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me,” she wrote. “The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with…it breaks my heart that it is all over.”
Snook went on to describe the critically lauded show as a “career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top.”
She added, “I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it and excelled, in every department.”
The Emmy nominee shared that she will miss the “friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one liners, the early mornings, the last minute changes” and all the highs and lows.”
“I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life,” she concluded. “And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support.”
Celeb friends were quick to chime in with their congratulations in the comments section, including J. Smith-Cameron, who played Gerri Kellman on the series.
“Oh, Sarah! Queen of Queens!❤️💔❤️💔,” she gushed.
Snook, 35, debuted her baby bump in a black jumpsuit at the HBO series’ Season 4 premiere in March.
The actress was 32 weeks pregnant at the time, telling reporters that she hid her budding belly while filming the Emmy-winning show.
She clarified that her stomach was not “super big” at the time.
Prior to conceiving her first baby, Snook was already a stepmother, as Lawson welcomed a baby boy in a previous relationship.
“I have a stepson, but this is my first baby that’s come out of me,” she clarified to “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” viewers later that same week.
Snook and Lawson started dating in 2020 after six years as friends.
“We’ve … lived together, travelled together, always excited to see each other, but totally platonic,” she explained to Vogue in October 2021. “We’ve just never been single at the same time.”
In October 2020, the Golden Globe winner proposed to her partner.
The couple tied the knot in February of the following year in a backyard wedding in Brooklyn.
“It’s been a ride,” Snook gushed to the outlet. “There’s so much heartache and sadness in the world, but on a micro personal level, I’ve been very fortunate.”
The Emmy nominee plays Shiv Roy on “Succession,” and she told Page Six in October 2021 that her character’s marriage to Tom Wambsgans, played by Matthew Macfayden, is “not [an] ideal” partnership.
“They’re happy in their own way but they’re also unhappy in their own particular way,” she explained.
“She’s got something that is safe, that is stable. … It’s a marriage that she wants to make work more than her father’s marriages have worked.”
