Katie Maloney has gained a newfound clarity on the situation between her ex-husband Tom Schwartz, Raquel Leviss, and Tom Sandoval. She recently revealed on the “Off the Vine” podcast that Schwartz had dropped her a hint about the affair before it made headlines in March.
Maloney recalled how at BravoCon in October 2022, Leviss had worn a TomTom hoodie, which everyone commented on as being bizarre. She went on to explain that when she confronted Schwartz about Leviss “following [him] around like a puppy dog”, he cryptically replied “She wasn’t there for me. Trust me.” This comment “stuck with” Maloney, and she started to put the pieces together.
Before news of the affair broke, Maloney noticed her co-stars’ “suspicious” friendship. She noted how Leviss had gone to one of Sandoval’s shows in Sonoma but didn’t post about it, which she found odd. She also accused Leviss of being “thick-skulled” and said there was something “off about the situation.”
Schwartz found out in August 2022 that his best friend had hooked up with Leviss, but thought it was a “one-night stand.” However, it was later revealed that the affair had lasted for months. On a “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” appearance last week, Schwartz claimed that Sandoval didn’t admit he was “in love” with Leviss until January.
As for the current status of their relationship, Sandoval said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff Podcast” that they’re “not putting any label on it” and are “just kind of taking a break.” Leviss’ rep also confirmed that she has checked into a facility for mental health treatment.
Hindsight is 20/20 for Katie Maloney, and she now looks back on the situation with clarity.
