Cardi B and Christina Applegate shared their strong feelings about the results of the 2024 presidential election, where Donald Trump was declared the victor. Both stars expressed their disappointment via social media on Wednesday.
Cardi B took to Instagram Live, responding to a comment suggesting she go to Trump‘s inauguration.
“I’m really upset. I mean it. Get away from me!” she exclaimed. “Burn your stupid hats! I’m truly heartbroken.”
“Regardless of the situation, I know [Harris] must be feeling overwhelmed. She might not hear my words now, but she will eventually.”
“I hope she realizes that tonight, countless people are proud of her. Women everywhere, especially women of color, admire her.”
“I had an authentic connection with her during our conversation; she wasn’t pretending. She had so much time to make a change and truly awakened this country. Last year had its issues, and she was sidelined too much.
“I stand with her and hope she values herself as we do, regardless of tonight’s outcome. This election is historic, and I have affection for her. I don’t say that lightly, as I’m not one for expressing love easily.”
Applegate’s response
Meanwhile, actress Christina Applegate voiced her concern as well, sharing her thoughts in a post.
“Why? Please explain your reasons! My child is in tears about the potential loss of her rights. Why? If you disagree with me, feel free to unfollow,” she stated on X.
