Music industry figure Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing additional lawsuits, as six new individuals have come forward alleging misconduct.
The new claims involve four males and two females, including one minor who was only 16 at the time. These cases have been submitted to a federal court in Manhattan, asserting that Combs’ sexual misconduct has occurred from 1995 through 2021, adding to his current legal issues which include charges of sex trafficking.
Among the complainants, a woman known as Jane Doe alleges she was assaulted by Combs in 2004, when she was 19 and a college student. The incident reportedly occurred after she and a friend attended a photoshoot for “Da Band,” a group under Combs’ record label. They were later invited to an “exclusive party” at Combs’ hotel, which turned out to be unsettling.
Details from the legal filings
The court documents indicate that a security guard took the two women to a different room, locking the door and saying, “You know what you are here for.” The lawsuit claims Combs then entered, offering drugs and drinks, while threatening their lives if they did not comply with him.
It is alleged that Combs forced one of the women’s friends to perform oral sex on him under the threat of violence.
In her statement, Jane Doe mentions that despite her cries for him to stop, Combs continued to assault her for over an hour until another security guard eventually let her go after her friend escaped.
All the individuals involved in the new legal actions are seeking compensation, although no specific amounts are disclosed. This recent development arises as Combs, 54, prepares for a sex-trafficking trial in May, where he has entered a plea of not guilty and asserts his innocence amidst a growing list of civil suits.
The emergence of these new allegations adds to the mounting legal troubles that are overshadowing the reputation and legacy of this once-prominent music figure.
