Reports have surfaced about Eminem‘s mother, Debbie Nelson, who is currently fighting a severe health crisis. She is courageously battling advanced lung cancer in St. Joseph, Missouri, but Eminem has not visited her despite offering financial support.
Although Eminem has been assisting Debbie financially, he hasn’t been in direct contact with her or his Missouri-based family members for quite some time. Sources have confirmed that her condition is dire, with her being labeled as “terminally ill with advanced lung cancer.”
A source told In Touch, “There are not many options [for Debbie]. She is currently staying between the cancer center and with family members. She has a very limited amount of time left. There’s uncertainty regarding whether Eminem is fully informed about his mother’s situation. The potential for communication between them could pave the way for reconciliation.”
The strained relationship between Eminem and his family has been widely reported over the years, with trust issues stemming from past conflicts, including a legal dispute back in 2005 with his aunt and uncle. They sued him for eviction attempts.
His turbulent history with his mother includes a defamation lawsuit in the early 2000s when Eminem mentioned her alleged drug use in his music. Despite her initial demand for $11 million, she was granted $25,000, leaving a mere $1,600 after legal fees.
During that period, Debbie was also battling breast cancer and expressed concern about hereditary health issues such as cancer and heart disease in an interview. She emphasized the importance of ongoing medical care.
