Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team faced setbacks when they requested that he be allowed to stay at his Miami Beach home instead of a federal prison in Brooklyn while awaiting trial. Unfortunately, this request was turned down by the judge.
Following his detention on Tuesday regarding sex trafficking allegations, Diddy aimed to secure his release by proposing a $50 million bail package, offering his mansion as collateral for house arrest with GPS supervision.
The judge conducted a hearing on the matter Wednesday afternoon, upholding the initial decision from Tuesday to keep Combs in custody without bail.
Attorney’s Determination
Outside the courthouse after the hearing, Diddy’s lawyer expressed determination to continue fighting on his behalf, stating that the “struggle continues.”
Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ attorney, emphasized the importance of expediting the trial process to “reduce” the duration of Diddy’s incarceration while they pursue favorable developments in the case.
Agnifilo also described the rapper and producer’s current jail conditions as “inhumane,” yet reassured that Diddy is “prepared” and “focused” as they await the upcoming trial.
