Diddy’s Defense Strategy
His attorneys are vehemently rejecting all allegations, labeling them as “completely false” and “incredible.” Even in the event that any claims had validity, they point out that the statute of limitations expired almost 17 years ago. They have also cast doubt on the credibility of the plaintiff, highlighting that Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith has a past as a convicted rapist and a record of filing baseless lawsuits.
The allegations date back to an alleged incident in 1997 where Cardello-Smith charges Diddy with tampering with his drink and committing sexual assault.
