Sean Diddy Combs will remain incarcerated with no bond release before his trial set for May 2025. The music mogul voluntarily withdrew his appeal as he confronts serious allegations of racketeering, sex trafficking, and aiding prostitution.
The 55-year-old was apprehended in September by Homeland Security agents and is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, as he faces federal charges.
Despite seeking bond release four times from September to November and maintaining his innocence, his requests have been denied due to concerns about public safety.
Recent reports suggest he has now abandoned his fourth appeal in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, leaving him in custody until the trial in spring 2025.
Combs faces serious accusations, including sexual, physical, emotional, and verbal abuse of multiple individuals to fulfill his desires and safeguard his image.
More Than 300 Potential Allegations Against Combs
Attorney Tony Buzbee, who has received over 3,000 calls through a hotline launched on October 1, now estimates he has around 300 potential cases to review.
According to Buzbee, speaking to the BBC, “I believe the actual number of cases may fall between 100 to 150, even though the initial estimate is about 300.”
To date, he has initiated 20 lawsuits from various individuals pursuing damages, but Combs’ defense team claims these are merely publicity stunts aimed at extracting money from high-profile figures.
Among those implicated in one of these lawsuits is Jay-Z (Shawn Carter), who is accused of participating in the rape of a 13-year-old girl with Combs at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000. Carter has strongly denied these allegations, labeling them as an attempt at blackmail, and has taken legal action against Buzbee.
