The influencer community, particularly Disney enthusiasts, is grieving the unexpected passing of Dominique Brown, often recognized as HellooDomo. She tragically lost her life at 34 due to a severe peanut allergy during a Christmas gathering organized by BoxLunch in Los Angeles.
This unfortunate event took place last Thursday at Vibiana, a prominent venue in the area. Reports indicate that Brown consumed food that she had been assured was free of allergens. After experiencing an immediate allergic reaction, she sought medical help but was reportedly instructed to wait for photos to be taken before assistance was provided.
A BoxLunch spokesperson publicly confirmed her death, stating: “We are heartbroken over the loss of Dominique Brown, a cherished member of the BoxLunch family. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her loved ones, and we are here to support them during this incredibly difficult time.”
Remembering a Cherished Disney Influencer
This news has left the Disney community in disbelief. Dominique was acknowledged for her love of the theme parks and her dedication to promoting diversity within the industry. She co-founded Black Girl Disney, an initiative aimed at elevating the presence of women of color within the Disney space.
In a touching tribute on Dominique’s last Instagram post, her brother Patrick Ramos expressed: “Disney brought her joy, but she truly thrived in the community that shared her passion. I will deeply miss my sister and best friend, along with that infectious smile she always had. Thank you for the love you showed her.”
A friend of Dominique’s mother recounted the events at the event, telling People magazine: “She inquired about peanuts in the food, and everyone assured her there were none.” The friend continued, “When she felt unwell, she requested to be taken to the hospital, but was told to wait for pictures first. It’s tragic.”
