Ellen DeGeneres and her spouse Portia de Rossi appear to be distancing themselves from the prospect of another Donald Trump presidency, as reports suggest they’ve relocated to the United Kingdom.
The couple, who married in 2008, reportedly listed their Montecito, California home for sale, according to The Wrap.
The duo is reportedly seeking a new beginning overseas, with no plans to return to the U.S. permanently.
As per sources, they felt “very disillusioned” with Trump’s recent victory over Kamala Harris, leading them to decide to “get the hell out” promptly.
Ellen had been an outspoken supporter of Harris, contributing $3,300 to her campaign.
“There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president,” DeGeneres posted on Instagram in August.
DeGeneres and de Rossi’s Future Plans
The couple has an impressive real estate portfolio; their Montecito estate was purchased for $27 million in 2019.
They are now believed to reside in the Cotswolds, located approximately two hours from London. This area is home to other celebrities such as David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley, and Jeremy Clarkson.
King Charles and Queen Camilla also live nearby at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
