Liam Payne, known for his time with One Direction, was honored in a private funeral held on Wednesday at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
The intimate gathering included family, friends, and celebrity guests, celebrating the life of the beloved singer, who died on October 16 at just 31 years old.
Kate Cassidy’s heartfelt tribute
Among the earliest attendees was Kate Cassidy, Payne’s girlfriend.
Clad in a black turtleneck and stylish fur-trimmed coat, the 25-year-old influencer entered the church beside Damian Hurley, the son of actress Elizabeth Hurley.
Her dignified demeanor echoed the profound sorrow among those who had known him best.
The service united Payne’s family, including his parents Geoff and Ruth, along with sisters Nicola and Ruth. His former bandmates from One Direction, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, were also present.
Notable figures like Cheryl Tweedy and Simon Cowell further emphasized Payne’s connections to his beginnings on X Factor.
James Corden and Adrian Chiles were also part of the gathering.

Payne’s coffin, a deep blue adorned with white roses and greenery, was reverently brought into the churchyard.
Floral tributes spelling out “Son” and “Daddy” were placed on the carriage, signifying the cherished personal relationships Payne valued.
The funeral program featured a bright photo of Payne, displaying his birth and passing dates, offering family and friends a chance to remember him in a private and heartfelt manner.
In the wake of his passing, Cassidy expressed her grief on social media, calling him her “everything”, and reminiscing about their shared future aspirations.
The couple, who had been together since October 2022, had recently enjoyed a trip to Argentina before the unfortunate tragedy.
