Hugh Jackman recently demonstrated his support for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively during their ongoing legal issues with Justin Baldoni, after the couple received subpoenas related to the situation.
Lively and the owner of Wrexham AFC were compelled to provide all communications linked to the director and the movie, *It Ends with Us*, following Lively’s claims of sexual harassment against Baldoni during the filming.
In response, Baldoni filed a counter-suit for $400 million, alleging that Reynolds engaged in civil defamation, extortion, and invasion of privacy, as stated in documents submitted to the Southern District of New York.
While many people have taken sides in this situation, Jackman has remained mostly quiet. This isn’t due to a lack of support for Reynolds, but rather personal issues Jackman is facing, particularly related to his divorce.
A source close to Jackman revealed, “Hugh is one of the few individuals Ryan confides in. He does support Ryan, but he’s busy managing his own divorce. He didn’t want to get entangled in this mess. Inviting him on stage was Hugh’s subtle way of showing his solidarity without making public statements.”
Moreover, “He owes Ryan; *Deadpool* helped him immensely during the tough times in his marriage with Deborra-Lee.”
