Tyler Perry, a close associate of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has shared insights about their marriage after Harry dismissed rumors of trouble in their relationship.
During an event in New York, Harry humorously dismissed claims circulating online that there might be issues between himself and Markle.
The speculation has arisen because Harry and Meghan have been spotted attending different events recently, focusing on their individual projects.
Perry has been a supportive friend, having offered them accommodation in California after their relocation to the United States. He also serves as a godfather to Princess Lilibet.
While attending the Paley Honors Fall Gala, Perry expressed his views on Harry and Meghan’s relationship during an interview with E! News.
“They truly care for one another. They have a wonderful family and I wish them nothing but happiness,” he remarked.
“Their bond is authentic and lovely. I have a lot of love for them.”
This comes in light of Harry‘s comments at The New York Times Dealbook Summit regarding his relationship with Meghan.
“People think we have allegedly purchased or relocated houses around 10 to 12 times. And supposedly divorced just as many,” he stated while laughing with interviewer Aaron Sorkin.
“It’s quite ridiculous,” he added. “It’s hard to track, so I choose to disregard it. I pity those who indulge in that gossip, as their wishes are only growing without fulfillment.”
Further Thoughts from Perry
Perry also shared his thoughts in an interview with the Sunday Times.
“What I’ve learned about bringing them up is that there’s an endless desire to hear news about them – any inquiry turns into a headline,” he explained.
When asked about the intense interest surrounding Harry and Meghan, Perry responded directly, “You’re from the UK, you tell me.”
