Former White House advisor Ivanka Trump celebrated her daughter Arabella’s 13th birthday with a Taylor Swift-themed cake, sharing photos on Instagram. The heart-shaped cake featured the lyrics “Boys only want love if it’s torture” from Swift’s song “Blank Space.”
Ivanka Trump praised the cake as the “best cake for my favorite Swiftie.”
Kim Kardashian, despite her past feud with Taylor Swift, responded to Trump’s post by commenting “Happy Birthday Arabella” and liking the slideshow.
Swifties trolled Kardashian in the comments with references to “thanK you aIMee,” a diss track by Swift released in April from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The song seemed to target Kardashian, who had a longstanding feud with Swift that started in 2016.
The Kardashian/Swift Feud
Kardashian had claimed in an interview that Swift approved Kanye West’s controversial lyric, “I made that b***h famous.” This led to a social media backlash from Swift’s fans, using snake emojis that Swift later reclaimed for her “Reputation” album and tour as a response to the controversy.
In a 2023 Time magazine profile, Swift emphasized her stance on her feud with Kardashian, stating, “There’s no point in actively trying to quote unquote defeat enemies, because trash takes itself out every single time.”
Interestingly, Kardashian’s daughter North showed potential Swiftie tendencies when a video of her and her mother dancing to “Shake It Off” was posted on TikTok in January 2023.
