Jennifer Lopez, an avid fan of the series Yellowstone, experienced a memorable encounter on Friday night when she met Kevin Costner, one of the show’s actors.
The 55-year-old performer and the 69-year-old star were seen enjoying drinks at Kemo Sabe, an acclaimed Western fashion store located in Aspen, Colorado.
Lopez had been in Aspen for a few days during the Christmas season, and earlier that day, she was seen shopping in Western attire with her 16-year-old child, Emme.
She was in Aspen to share the holidays with her family, including her mother Guadalupe and sister Lynda Lopez, and appeared to be having a wonderful time in the famous ski town.
For Lopez, meeting Kevin Costner was certainly a highlight of her trip. Although it’s not clear how long they chatted, it’s clear that it was a meaningful moment for her.
Costner, recognized for his iconic performances in movies like Dances with Wolves, seemed at ease with his classic salt-and-pepper facial hair. To keep warm, he wore a brown scarf and a black jacket while engaging with other patrons in the store.
Lopez’s admiration for Yellowstone
The affection Lopez has for Yellowstone is well-known, and it’s led to some amusing stories from her past relationships. Notably, her ex-husband Ben Affleck has admitted that Yellowstone made him uncomfortable, particularly due to Lopez‘s interest in the romance between Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton.
During a March 2023 episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast, Ben recounted a humorous yet revealing experience regarding Lopez‘s enthusiasm for the series.
“Jen showed me a clip on Instagram where [Reilly] has a speech in the car about getting rich,” Ben stated. “Then she commented, ‘I love the story of these two.’ It’s a bit unsettling that my wife is so into Yellowstone.”
