“Jennifer Lopez’s Post-Divorce Journey: The Questions That Linger After Her Split from Ben Affleck”

Ben Affleck wasn't the only challenge Jennifer Lopez faced during the last year

Jennifer Lopez is a highly acclaimed artist, renowned globally for her music and performances. Despite her fame, she remains devoted to her children, grappling with the same concerns as any parent.

JLo, a prominent name in the music industry, has reflected on the implications of being a single mother to her twins, Max and Emme.

The 55-year-old singer shared her thoughts on parenting her 16-year-old twins during a promotional interview for her latest film, “Unstoppable”, which tells the inspirational true story of wrestler Anthony Robles, who achieved remarkable success despite being born with one leg.

In the film, JLo takes on the role of Anthony’s mother, Judy Robles.

During her chat with Entertainment Weekly, she expressed, “I’ve been a single mother at various points, and I’ve questioned whether I’m doing enough for my kids.” She concluded that what truly matters is having a parent who loves you.

Lopez emphasized the achievement of Anthony Robles, stating, “His success showcases the power of love.”

Praise from Judy Robles on JLo’s portrayal

The real Judy Robles applauded JLo’s performance, noting how accurately she captured the emotions Judy experienced throughout Anthony’s journey and their shared struggles.

Judy mentioned, “JLo truly embodies how I felt through the highs and lows of motherhood. We all seek love and aim for what seems unattainable, all while holding onto a glimmer of hope,” as shared with Entertainment Weekly.

Jennifer Lopez and her former husband Marc Anthony welcomed their twins, Max and Emme, in 2008. They were married in 2004, but the couple divorced in 2014, following Marc’s filing in 2012.

JLo Prioritizes Her Kids’ Happiness

Recently, during her time on “The Graham Norton Show,” Lopez revealed her decision to cancel her “This Is Me… Live” tour in May to dedicate the summer to her children, Max and Emme.

“I felt it was crucial to be home with my kids, and it turned out to be one of my best choices ever,” Lopez shared in the interview. She acknowledged her fans’ disappointment and expressed regret for letting them down.

In addition to spending time with her own children, Lopez used the summer to connect with Ben Affleck’s three kids—Violet, 19; Serafina, 15; and Samuel, 12—whom he has with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

In May, the singer of “On The Floor” was present at Violet’s graduation celebration with Affleck, even though they had separated in April.

During the summer, despite being apart, Violet visited her stepmother in the Hamptons in July.

In August, Lopez was spotted shopping with her stepson Samuel in Los Angeles as they prepared for Affleck’s birthday.

In September, JLo and Affleck had lunch with their kids at the Beverly Hills Hotel, but Violet was absent as she had started her first semester at Yale University, according to The Post.
