Judge Warns Diddy: Obscene Gestures Could Mean Expulsion

Judge threatens to expel Sean 'Diddy' Combs for obscene gestures to jury

If Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs hopes to navigate the serious allegations against him without repercussions, showing blatant disrespect towards the jury may not be the wisest approach. Only four weeks into the legal proceedings, Judge Arun Subramanian has already cautioned the hip-hop mogul’s attorney to avoid such behavior or face expulsion from the courtroom.

“I noticed your client glancing at the jury and nodding emphatically. This is unacceptable,” was the initial alert directed at Diddy’s counsel, Marc Agnifilo. Since this occurred more than once, Judge Subramanian warned that failure to maintain decorum could result in the lawyer’s removal from the courtroom.

“Should there be a recurrence, even just once, I will grant the prosecution’s request for a corrective instruction to the jury, which you definitely want to avoid, or I will consider additional measures that could lead to your client being barred from the courtroom,” the judge stated firmly.

Following this caution, Marc Agnifilo expressed his intention to manage his client’s behavior and prevent any further issues. This incident unfolded while Bryan Bongolan, a friend of Diddy’s ex-girlfriend and one of the key witnesses for the plaintiffs, was giving her testimony.

Bongolan recounted an event from 2016 when she encountered Diddy in a Los Angeles apartment, where he allegedly grabbed her “over a 17th floor balcony then shoved her against the balcony furniture,” resulting in cuts and bruises on her body. Furthermore, she recalled Combs approaching her and uttering something akin to, “I’m the devil, and I could kill you.”
