Justin Baldoni Sets the Record Straight: Debunking Blake Lively’s Accusations

The dispute between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively intensifies, as Baldoni has revealed an excerpt from the It Ends With Us script to counter Lively’s accusations about his comments on her weight.

The 41-year-old director has filed the script page as court evidence, asserting that Lively’s claims distort the reality of the situation.

Baldoni addresses the allegations

Lively has brought forth a lawsuit claiming Baldoni engaged in sexual harassment, asserting that he consistently belittled her by making veiled comments regarding her body.

According to her, shortly after the birth of her fourth child, Baldoni secretly reached out to her trainer, insinuating that she needed to lose weight for their film.

In her lawsuit, Lively argued that Baldoni attempted to rationalize his concerns by mentioning a scene requiring him to lift her, a claim she refutes as nonexistent.

Baldoni contends he contacted the trainer not to body-shame Lively, but to prepare for a scripted lift.

“This was crucial to prevent injuries—not just to me, given my history of back issues, but also to Blake in case the lift wasn’t executed safely,” stated his legal team in court documents.

He offered the supposed script page which indicated his character would need to “scoop” up Lively’s character.

Additionally, his lawyers presented video evidence of him rehearsing the scene with a body double.

Furthermore, Lively’s lawsuit indicated that upon contracting strep throat, Baldoni suggested a health expert, whom she later realized was a weight-loss advisor, further fueling her perception of body-shaming.

In response, Baldoni dismissed this notion, sharing alleged text exchanges where he sought general health advice.

His attorney stressed, “[Blake] later alleged that this ‘health coach’ was merely a cover for [Justin] to subtly body-shame her.”

Baldoni seeks to shape public perception

Beyond legal proceedings, Baldoni has taken to the internet, launching a website where he shares messages, video clips, and a detailed timeline of events relevant to the lawsuit.

His legal representation has modified his countersuit, alleging that Lively and her spouse, Ryan Reynolds, have deliberately attempted to tarnish his name.

“The public interest in this case has revealed undeniable truths… Ms. Lively and her team have worked together for months to damage reputations through a web of deceit,” proclaimed Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, to the Daily Mail.

Conversely, sources close to Lively and Reynolds indicate the lawsuit has been emotionally taxing for them.

Reports suggest that Lively feels “drained emotionally” but is optimistic about winning, viewing the situation as a “distraction” created by Baldoni.

With both parties firmly entrenched in their positions, this legal conflict shows no indication of resolution.

Baldoni aims to alter the narrative with his leaked material, while Lively steadfastly defends against his allegations.

Both lawsuits remain active.
