Kanye West and Bianca Censori stirred up controversy once more at the 2025 Grammys, where Censori‘s provocative outfit alongside their behavior on the red carpet drew a lot of attention.
Recent accounts, however, indicate that the couple might not have been in full agreement about their display, as actress Riley Mae Lewis noted an argument occurring shortly before they appeared for the cameras.
Tension evident prior to their red carpet appearance
In an interview with The Sun, Lewis, who witnessed the incident, described an uneasy atmosphere between West and Censori just before their much-anticipated appearance. She remarked, “It seemed like they might have been arguing. She didn’t appear to be fully on board with the scene he wanted to create on the carpet,” Lewis shared.
She also noted that the vibe between them felt off. “Many others on the carpet sensed the same unease. It raises concerns about the state of their relationship behind closed doors,” she added.
Despite the apparent tension, Lewis speculated that the incident was indeed premeditated. “From what I observed, their red carpet display seemed like a calculated stunt,” she said.
An analysis from a professional lip reader revealed that West had reportedly pushed Censori to go through with the display, allegedly telling her to “make a scene.” Additionally, a body language expert pointed out that Censori‘s demeanor hinted at discomfort, labeling her actions as an “ultimate attention-seeking statement.”
Outrage intensifies with social media behavior
Post-Grammys, West escalated the situation further with a slew of controversial posts on X (formerly Twitter). Over a four-day span, he made a series of racist, antisemitic, and misogynistic statements, which included praising Adolf Hitler and labeling himself as a Nazi.
His posts also featured endorsements for Sean “Diddy” Combs and Chris Brown, both of whom have been implicated in sexual abuse allegations. West increasingly made outlandish claims, asserting “dominion” over his wife and sharing explicit material on the platform that permits nudity.
As of Tuesday, West‘s account on X was no longer active. It remains uncertain if he deactivated it himself or if Elon Musk, the platform’s owner, intervened—though the latter is considered unlikely due to Musk’s own recent controversial actions.
The incident at the Grammys and West’s subsequent online behavior have once again stirred up discussions about his intentions and mental health, leading many to speculate whether his actions are a strategic move for publicity or indicate underlying issues.
