The atmosphere was initially serene, filled with celebrities showcasing their elegant outfits. However, Haley Kalil broke the somber palette with her vibrant red dress, until Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori arrived in striking chrome Mercedes-Maybachs.
The artist formerly known as Kanye West, now referred to as Ye, and Censori are known for their eye-catching appearances, and their arrival at the Grammy Awards was no exception, aiming to capture attention on the red carpet.
Controversial Moment: Kanye’s Whisper to Bianca
Ye and Bianca Censori garnered significant attention with her risqué dress, which was designed to be provocative. Censori wore a black fur coat, which she removed once she reached the photographers, revealing a sheer gown that left little to the imagination.
The situation escalated when The Mirror reported that as the cameras flashed, Kanye West appeared to lean in and whisper to Censori, with lip reader Nicola Hickling claiming he said, “I’m going to tell them you’re hot tonight, baby.”
While a playful comment elsewhere might go unnoticed, in the context of an event dedicated to raising funds and promoting resilience after the destructive wildfires, it seemed out of place.
During the ceremony, which showcased musical talents, the prestigious album of the year award went to Beyonce for ‘Cowboy Carter’, while Kendrick Lamar received recognition for both song and record of the year for ‘Not Like Us’, ahead of his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
