Fitness influencer Miguel Angel Aguilar, widely recognized as @selfmadefamilyinc on social media, experienced a serious injury during a robbery attempt on Thursday.
Reports indicate that Aguilar was trailed to his residence in Los Angeles by a group of men in a vehicle. Upon exiting his car, he was assaulted by the armed group.
It appears that the influencer attempted to defend himself by pulling a weapon and engaging with the assailants who were trying to take his Rolex. This struggle resulted in one of the robbers firing a gun, striking Miguel in the face.
He was taken to the hospital by ambulance later that evening. Reports also state that at the same time, a person with a gunshot injury in the back arrived at the hospital. This individual reportedly died and is believed to have been connected to the robbery.

Miguel’s family shared a message through his official social media, confirming that he is currently in critical condition within an intensive care unit, fighting for his survival.
“At this challenging time, we kindly request your prayers, positive thoughts, and support for Miguel and his family, and we appreciate your respecting their privacy,” was part of their message.
The family expressed the importance of discretion and stated they will provide updates on his condition when they can.
