Kayla Nicole Stands with Taylor Swift in the Fight for Equal Pay for Women

Kayla Nicole supports Taylor Swift in battle against gender-pay disparity

Kayla Nicole is outspoken on social media regarding the worrying gender pay gap.

The fitness influencer and former partner of Travis Kelce posted a GIF featuring Stephen A. Smith on Twitter.

In her post, she remarked, “Soooo would this be a bad time to point out the significant societal disparity in pay between men and women….or????….Yea. Nvm nvm nvm. Maybe next week.”

Nicole’s comments follow her appearance on the Unapologetically Angel podcast, which elicited criticism from Taylor Swift‘s enthusiastic fanbase, the Swifties.

Her intention is clear: the gender pay gap is not just a theoretical issue but a serious matter that demands attention. By speaking out, she aligns herself with numerous advocates who have previously addressed this inequality.

A track record of advocating for equality

This isn’t the first instance where the pay gap has gained attention. In 2019, Taylor Swift gave a memorable acceptance speech at the Teen Choice Awards, passionately advocating for equal pay for women.

She urged her supporters to rally behind the U.S. women’s soccer team as they fought against gender discrimination. Swift pointed out the dramatic disparity in prize money awarded to male and female World Cup teams: 448 million dollars for men versus only 30 million for women, illustrating a staggering gap of 418 million dollars. Swift called for activism on this issue.

“Get online and talk about it,” Swift emphasized during her impactful address.

Currently, Kayla Nicole is reiterating this plea for action, using her platform to stimulate discourse surrounding gender equality, especially in the realm of sports. Despite facing backlash from Swift‘s devoted followers, she remains determined to raise awareness about this vital issue.
