Kylie Jenner’s Unique Parenting Journey: How She Paves Her Own Path with Her Daughters

Kylie Jenner doesn't want to be like her sister Kim Kardashian and this is why she raises her daughters differently

Kylie Jenner recently discussed her parenting approach and how it differs from that of her sister, Kim Kardashian.

The 27-year-old social media star, who has a six-year-old daughter named Stormi and a two-year-old son Aire, shared insights during an interview about the challenges of raising children in a digital world. Jenner, who coparents with former partner Travis Scott, emphasized her cautious attitude towards her children’s exposure online.

While Kim allows her older children, North and Saint, to engage on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, Kylie prefers a more protective approach.

North boasts 19.2 million followers on TikTok, and Saint has a YouTube channel with many subscribers. In contrast, Kylie wishes to keep her children off social media for now.

“I don’t want them to have their own social media accounts until they move out of the house,” she said in an Elle Magazine interview.

Prioritizing Family Privacy

Kylie expressed her desire to control how her family is portrayed online, stating that any pictures or content should come from her or their father, and not from the kids themselves. She acknowledged that her daughter Stormi has picked up on TikTok trends even without her own account, which poses a challenge in keeping kids away from social media.

Beyond her children’s social media presence, Kylie reflected on her relationship with the internet, admitting that the constant need to share content can be exhausting. She noted that her life was less complicated before parenthood when she felt no pressure to be constantly relevant online. Presently, she prefers to maintain a lower profile on social media.

Additionally, Kylie opened up about her experiences with postpartum depression after the births of both her children.

She had previously shared with Vanity Fair Italy that while managing her condition was easier after Aire was born, it was still challenging. Her advice to new mothers is to savor each moment and not rush through the emotional ups and downs of motherhood.

By establishing clear boundaries and sharing her journey, Kylie exemplifies a thoughtful and deliberate approach to parenting.
