In response to Liam Payne’s recent toxicology report, Lamar Odom has shared insights into his own battles with substance use, suggesting that the substances detected in Payne‘s system might have contributed to his unfortunate demise. In an interview with TMZ, Odom discussed a drug combination referred to as “pink cocaine,” which authorities confirmed was present in Payne’s results.
This combination, consisting of ketamine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy, is notorious for its intense and erratic effects.
Odom’s Insights
Odom, who currently heads the Odom Recovery Group, revealed that he has personal experience with the drugs involved, including cocaine and crack cocaine.
He expressed that he considers crack to be one of the most hazardous substances available. Reflecting on his own struggles with addiction, Odom indicated that this potent drug mixture could trigger hallucinations or skew perceptions of reality, possibly contributing to Liam’s fatal fall from his hotel suite in Buenos Aires.
“I’ve experienced a lot of things. I’m not ashamed because it’s part of my story,” Odom remarked.
“Drugs can induce hallucinations. If [Payne] was in such a state, who knows what might have transpired?”
“If you’re hearing voices, it’s tough to ignore them, and tragically, those voices could have influenced actions leading to his tragedy. That would be heartbreaking.”
“I’ll be sure to pray for his family and everyone he cared about.”
This speculation is supported by ongoing investigations by local authorities looking into the possibility that Payne‘s fall was linked to drug-related hallucinations.
Earlier this year, Payne had candidly discussed his journey to sobriety, highlighting how his past addictions affected him during his time with One Direction.
