Marcus Jordan has recently been in the news due to troubling incidents, especially concerning a driving under the influence (DUI) case that has taken a new development.
According to a report from TMZ Sports on Friday, he has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge against him.
Jordan is contending with three charges following his interaction with law enforcement last week. The charges include DUI with property damage, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest without violence.
As the son of NBA icon Michael Jordan, this case draws considerable attention from fans and onlookers alike.
Reports suggest that Jordan exited his Lamborghini Urus while on train tracks in the early hours of Tuesday, having spent the night out in Florida. Officials found him visibly intoxicated when they arrived.
Attempt to Use Famous Name
Upon police arrival, he refused to comply with their requests and attempted to leverage his father’s name to evade consequences, which did not succeed, leading to his arrest and transport to a DUI testing site.
At the testing facility, police noted his disruptive behavior and stated that he even requested to have some Mariah Carey music played.
Although he has not publicly addressed the legal matters, he expressed gratitude towards his supporters following the arrest. He shared on Instagram, “My focus is on my store, The Trophy Room, and I will refrain from commenting on recent media coverage and my private life. I genuinely appreciate your concerns and thank you for your understanding.”
Jordan is scheduled to appear in court again in March to contest his not guilty plea.
