Mark Wahlberg has sparked concern with his latest fitness challenge, where he completed a 63-hour fast.

The 53-year-old star, recognized for his rigorous health habits, claimed to have lost over 10 pounds during the fast and flaunted his toned physique in a recent Instagram update.

In his video, Wahlberg documented his journey, mentioning, “Hour 60 into the fast,” and shared that he started at 192 pounds but ended up at 180.

He showcased his abs in the video and included a compilation of rigorous workouts with a buddy.

Although Wahlberg appeared satisfied with his achievements, numerous fans expressed their worries about the harsh nature of his fasting.

One commenter said, “… I would have a migraine by hour 5! 63 hours? Are you crazy?”

Wahlberg’s History of Extreme Fitness

Wahlberg has a history of taking on challenging fitness regimes. Just last month, he posted a video of an unusual fitness activity: taking an ice bath at a hotel.

In that video, Wahlberg displayed a cart filled with ice bags while dressed only in shorts and sneakers, saying, “Everywhere we go, we be getting an ice bath. I stay living that cold life.”

He humorously noted, “That’s a lot of ice. We’ll have to send some back and hold some for tomorrow.”

While Wahlberg’s commitment to fitness is impressive, health experts and fans frequently warn against such extreme practices.

Extended fasting can result in dehydration, fatigue, and nutrient deficiencies, particularly for those who continue vigorous workouts during the process.
