Following the tragic loss of their bandmate Liam Payne, the members of One Direction came together to honor him at his funeral on Wednesday.
His closest friends and family were present in the Home Counties of England, including Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson.
This gathering marked the first reunion of the former bandmates in nine years as they paid their last respects to Liam, who tragically lost his life following a fall in Argentina.
Styles was the first to arrive at the service, soon followed by Tomlinson, Malik, and Horan. Each arrived on their own, wearing sunglasses during the occasion.
Although they did not have much interaction prior to the ceremony, Tomlinson and Malik were spotted speaking briefly outside.
Simon Cowell, who played a significant role in discovering One Direction, also attended the funeral with his fiancée Lauren Silverman.
A gathering of love and remembrance
Payne’s casket was transported in a horse-drawn carriage and carried inside the venue.
After the service, Horan and Styles were seen together, with Horan also holding hands with his girlfriend Amelia Wooley.
At just 31 years old, Payne tragically lost his life last month due to an accident while on vacation.
The remaining members of One Direction expressed their sorrow on social media, sharing heartfelt tributes on their personal pages as well as on the official group account. They stated, “We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing.”
