Rory Feek Refutes Allegations of Endangering His Daughter Amid Family Dispute

Country singer Rory Feek denies endangering his own child during family 'dispute'

Country artist Rory Feek has denied accusations made by his two elder daughters regarding the safety of their 10-year-old sister during a family conflict that has led to the involvement of Child Protective Services on her behalf.

The daughters claim that Feek has prevented them from seeing their youngest sibling, Indiana, and have expressed concerns about her well-being in the care of the musician following their mother’s passing.

Among the allegations raised by Heidi and Hopie is an incident where Indiana was reportedly left “unattended” and wandered into traffic, along with claims that Feek and his spouse placed the child with the Homestead Heritage group, which has been associated with instances of sexual abuse.

The 59-year-old has vehemently denied these allegations, responding to his daughters through a blog post where he presented his perspective on the matter.

“Heidi believes she doesn’t have to respect my decisions regarding her younger sister,” conveyed Feek via social media. “They wish for [Indiana] to consume the movies, songs, and influences they prefer.”

“It was evident to me that Heidi’s intentions were not in Indiana’s best interest – instead, she sought retribution and harm towards me, regardless of the consequences, and I decided to safeguard Indiana from this,” he elaborated.

“I reassure her that a reunion is on the horizon, where she can reconnect with them. I eagerly anticipate that day nearly as much as [she] does.”

Response from Heidi and Hopie

Feek also remarked that Facebook and Instagram are not suitable platforms to resolve intra-family conflicts, an opinion that was disregarded by Hopie and Heidi as they took to Instagram to counter their father’s assertions.

They disclosed their persistent attempts to reach out to Feek over several months without any response, resorting to various offline channels, while showing a string of unanswered text messages.

“Love is demonstrated through actions, not mere words,” remarked Heidi and Hopie. “Despite the hurtful comments in your blog post accusing us of cowardice for not confronting you, we forgive you.

“Love is demonstrated through actions, and our affection for our little sister Indiana surpasses all else. Hence, we are taking necessary steps.”
