Both actresses were nominated for best performance by a female actor in a limited series or TV movie, with Vergara recognized for her role in “Griselda” and Foster for “True Detective: Night Country.” When Foster was announced as the winner, Vergara humorously heckled her from the audience, playfully saying, “Not again! Give me one!” In response, Foster maintained her charm and acknowledged Vergara, expressing gratitude for their community.
During her acceptance speech, Foster praised her family, particularly highlighting her son Charlie, who is considering a career in acting. This news is intriguing, especially since Vergara’s son Manolo is also pursuing an acting path. Foster remarked, “More than anything, I want to thank my family because Kit, my scientist son, and Charlie, my actor son who is beginning his journey,” hinting at a budding competition in the next generation.

Unlike Manolo, Charlie Foster, Jodie Foster’s eldest son, hasn’t been vocal about his acting aspirations, though he has shown interest in Hollywood. In a 2007 interview, Jodie revealed that Charlie expressed desires for a little nepotism, asking why he couldn’t get a role in films. She encouraged him to pursue acting through theater, but Charlie preferred the idea of fame over the craft at that time.
Eventually, Charlie decided to explore acting on his terms and attended Yale, participating in theater productions during his studies. Although he hasn’t ventured into Hollywood yet, Jodie has been cautious about pushing him into the limelight too soon. She expressed relief that he is discovering his passion for acting later in life, stating her younger son is too shy for the entertainment industry.
