The 27-year-old actress from Euphoria took a break from her acting career to delve into the thrilling environment of NASCAR, sharing an exhilarating day with the 2023 Cup Series champion, Ryan Blaney, at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Clad in a vibrant blue racing suit, Sweeney got the chance to drive a NASCAR vehicle, sharing her thrilling moments on social media.
“This is awesome!” she exclaimed in her post, featuring images of her grinning with her helmet on and celebrating her completed laps.

The actress documented her joy, from solo laps to jubilant poses alongside Blaney, showcasing her enthusiasm about the event.
This experience was part of the NASCAR Racing Experience, an event where fans can get behind the wheel of a real race car with guidance from professionals.
While Sweeney’s debut on the racetrack surprised many, her passion for cars is well-known among her fans.
Her Aspiration to Race
A true car lover, Sweeney has renovated several classic cars and even started a TikTok account called Syd’s Garage during the pandemic to share her automotive adventures.
Her work on her 1969 Ford Bronco spurred her to inspire women to explore their automotive interests as well.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of vintage vehicles,” Sweeney mentioned in a past interview.
“My babysitters used to be race car drivers, and I thought I was going to be one when I grew up.”
From mastering manual transmissions as a teenager to tackling off-road terrains in Utah, her driving skills have continuously impressed others.
She attributes her self-assurance behind the wheel to her upbringing, recounting, “My mom didn’t let me drive an automatic until I actually got my license. She taught me how to change a tire and figure things out for myself.”
Even though her recent NASCAR experience was a one-time event, Sweeney’s evident joy on the track hints at a possible return to the speedway in the future.
