Following a devastating stabbing incident in Southport that led to the death of two children and injuries to several others during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class, Taylor Swift has shared a heartfelt message of condolences. The incident has deeply affected the singer.

Reacting on Instagram, Swift expressed her shock and struggle to find words to convey her sympathy for the victims and their families.

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock,” was part of Swift‘s message.

“The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, the first responders.

“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”

Details of the Incident

The dance class, organized by The Hart Space, targeted children aged three to twelve in years two to six for a yoga and dance workshop. The fully booked session intended to be a joyous event from 10:00 to 12:00 turned tragic.

Reports from the North West Ambulance Service stated that multiple children sustained stab wounds and were taken to different hospitals for treatment including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Aintree University Hospital, and Southport and Formby Hospital.

Merseyside Police confirmed that nine children were injured, with six in critical condition. Additionally, two adults trying to shield the children are also critical.

“We can confirm that emergency services are in Southport following a major incident this morning, Monday 29 July,” according to the police statement.
