Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Book made a significant impact during the Black Friday holiday weekend.
According to Circana, which monitors most print sales in the United States, the book sold over 814,000 copies within its first three days.
A Must-Have for Swifties: The Eras Tour Book
In an impressive feat, the book almost set a new record for U.S. nonfiction sales, just missing the mark set by Barack Obama’s memoir A Promised Land, which recorded 816,000 copies sold in its first week back in 2020.
Swift’s release, available solely through Target, bypassed conventional publishers and major online platforms, such as Amazon, achieving remarkable sales nonetheless.
This book commemorates her nearly two-year-long Eras Tour, starting in March 2023 and wrapping up on December 8 in Vancouver.
Within its pages, there are countless exclusive images, costume designs, and behind-the-scenes looks at her record-shattering tour.
Swift’s personal insights and reflections on each concert era provide fans with an intimate connection to her favorite experiences.
“I’ll always remember the moment I shared my vision for The Eras Tour with my team,” Swift writes in the introductory section.
“While I was preparing for the Midnights album, typically I would have planned The Midnights Tour, but I dislike sticking to the usual paths.”
The book gives fans an insight into Swift’s approach to blending her new content with re-recorded versions of her initial six albums.
“I aimed for every fan to depart that show feeling like I had given them everything,” she expresses.
Though Swift narrowly missed Obama’s benchmark, the triumph of The Eras Tour Book solidifies her impact beyond just the music world.
As she alludes to in the book, “see you next era,” fans are eagerly looking forward to what’s in store for her continuously evolving journey.
