The highly anticipated 82nd Golden Globe Awards are just around the corner, scheduled for Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Known as “Hollywood’s Party of the Year“, the Golden Globes is the biggest global awards event that honors outstanding achievements in film and television.
The digital pre-show, Red Carpet Live, will be back on January 5, 2025, in collaboration with Entertainment Tonight and Variety, featuring hosts Rachel Smith and Marc Malkin.
Who’s Hosting the 2025 Golden Globes?
Comedian and actress Nikki Glaser will take the reins as host for this year’s event, recognized as “Hollywood’s Biggest Party.”
Nikki expressed her excitement, stating, “Hosting the Globes is thrilling—it’s one of my favorite nights! It’s a chance to honor the top talents in film and TV, while also being a wonderful occasion for humor.”
She further noted that the event allows for a light-hearted approach, adding, “It’s delightful to be playful and possibly a target for some jokes!”

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards will unfold on January 5, 2025.
Celebrations kick off at 3:30 p.m. PT / 6:30 p.m. ET on platforms owned by Variety and Penske Media.
The awards will air live starting at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on CBS, also available for streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for SHOWTIME subscribers, while Paramount+ Essential subscribers can catch the show the next day).*

What to Expect at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards
Renowned actress and producer Viola Davis will be receiving the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Additionally, Ted Danson, another Golden Globe-winning actor, will be honored with the Carol Burnett Award.
Selena Gomez is nominated for her roles in Emilia Perez and Only Murders in the Building.
Performers Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are also nominated for their work in Wicked, promising a showcase of stunning red carpet fashion.
Miley Cyrus is in the running for Best Original Song, potentially paving her way to an Oscar nod.
Furthermore, Zendaya received a nomination for Challengers, with expectations high for her appearance on the red carpet.
