As Ainsley Earhardt prepares for another marriage with Sean Hannity, we can’t help but wonder about her ex-husband, Will Proctor. While Earhardt has been thriving at Fox News, Proctor has largely stayed out of the public eye since their split.
Will Proctor currently serves as the head of sponsor coverage and managing director at Neuberger Berman, a role he has held since 2012, according to their website. Before his finance career, he played as a quarterback and team captain at Clemson University and later joined the Canadian Football League before retiring in 2008.
Earhardt and Proctor met in 2012 on a blind date and married the same year, with Proctor being seven years younger. While they had a daughter in 2015, their journey to parenthood was rocky, with Earhardt experiencing a difficult miscarriage prior to their daughter’s birth. However, their marriage lasted only four years, as Proctor filed for divorce in 2019, leaving many to speculate about the underlying reasons, particularly since it was Proctor who initiated the separation.
Divorce Surrounded by Cheating Allegations
Proctor’s low profile can also be attributed to the cheating rumors that surfaced during his divorce from Earhardt. It was claimed that he had an affair with one of her close friends—a situation that deeply hurt Earhardt, as she considered this person a confidante. Reports suggested the affair took place years before their divorce but created irreconcilable differences that they could not overcome.
Proctor denied these allegations, telling the Daily Mail that he did not have an affair and expressed his devastation over the situation. Furthermore, the couple reportedly had disputes over their daughter, particularly regarding Earhardt’s frequent sharing of their child’s images on social media and in her show “Fox & Friends” which Proctor felt was inappropriate. As Earhardt starts a new chapter with Hannity, one can only wonder if this new development might lead Proctor to step back into the limelight.
