With celebrity status in Hollywood and her marriage to Prince Harry, as well as her exit from the British Royal Family, Meghan Markle has become a controversial figure. Currently, it seems challenging to find any favorable coverage of Markle, as much of the discourse focuses on criticism of her character and actions.
A significant issue currently under scrutiny involves Markle’s professional conduct. After launching a podcast titled “Archetypes” in August 2022, it was unexpectedly canceled just three months later. Recent feedback from past colleagues paints a less than flattering picture of her work ethic, with recurring accusations of her being a diva and excessively demanding.
Markle’s Distasteful Nickname: “Eva”
A recent report has disclosed an unflattering nickname given to Markle. Royal reporter Neil Sean states that her staff referred to her as “Eva” for a rather negative reason.
“The nickname served as a warning to indicate her approach or her troublesome mood. It wasn’t an affectionate name; it derived from the 1955 classic film ‘Queen Bee’, as she was perceived to ‘sting’ those around her. Staff felt this encapsulated their experience working with [Markle].”
Furthermore, Sean mentions that her employees found her emotionally unpredictable, which made collaboration challenging. Many felt that Markle regarded them as inferior.
This sentiment about Markle’s behavior has been echoed by numerous former colleagues as well.
