Sarah Danser, known for her role in Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid, tragically lost her life in a car crash in Kahala, Hawaii. This unfortunate event took place on October 20, when the vehicle she was in lost control and collided with a stationary car.
Danser was critically injured and succumbed to her injuries on October 22. The driver of her vehicle and an occupant of the parked car also sustained serious injuries and are currently in critical condition.
In a heartfelt Facebook tribute, fellow Naked and Afraid star Melissa Lauren shared, “Sarah was one of the most adventurous people I’ve ever known. She was not just a formidable survivalist on Naked and Afraid (having completed the XL in South Africa with me), but also a breast cancer survivor who maintained a positive outlook throughout her treatment. Her love for the ocean and nature made her a ‘modern day pirate’ in spirit.”
Melissa added, “She had a childlike wonder about the world, appreciating what many overlook. Rest in peace Sarah, I know you are exploring somewhere out there.”
A Legend in Naked and Afraid
Having originally hailed from Colorado, Danser spent over ten years living in Hawaii. She gained recognition through her multiple appearances on Naked and Afraid, featuring in Season 8 (2017), Season 11 (2020), and the all-star edition (Season 4, 2018).
Danser also participated in Naked and Afraid XL, showing her skills in Seasons 6 (2020) and 7 (2021). Recently, she was a contestant on CW’s 2023 survival series, Fight to Survive, demonstrating her talent in extreme environments.
Her passion for outdoor adventures endeared her to fans of survival shows, and she was respected for her bravery and expertise in challenging situations.
